Leveling A Priest - Before You Start Leveling, Read This

Interested in leveling a Priest? The Priest is an essential class to any grouping, every group always needs a healer. But the Priest is not limited only to healing, you can have a lot of fun killing enemies with your offensive spells as well.

If you're looking into giving the Priest a try, you might want to do a bit of reading to find out what you're in for, here's some tidbits that will clue you in:

When you begin leveling a Priest, you're going to have only 2 spells, Smite and Lesser Heal. Basically what you're going to do is cast Smite on enemies from a distance, and resort to melee if they don't die before reaching you.

Of course it's better you use a wand instead of a melee attack, so when you can, be sure to pick one up.

Now when you are level 4, you will gain the spell Shadow Word: Pain, this is a DOT ability. As soon as you have this, make sure it is used in every battle. If a battle is going on for a while and it fades, make sure you cast it back on the enemy.

When you reach level 6, you will obtain Power Word: Shield. This is a spell that will keep your spells from being interrupted by enemy attacks, it will also absorb any damage inflicted upon you. Put this on as often as possible.

At level 8 you will gain 2 spells, Renew and Fade. Renew is basically a more powerful healing spell while Fade will work to reduce your aggro.

Once you're level 10, you will gain access to Resurrection and Mind Blast. Resurrection is going to help others in your group who need to be resurrected and Mind Blast will be an offensive spell for you that deals Shadow damage.

If you're like me (a huge Beatles freak) then September 9th is basically Christmas Day! This is the day that new remastered Beatles CDs are finally coming out, 22 years since the original Beatles CDs were released.

The Beatles first released their albums on CD in the 1980s and at that time CD technology was still pretty new. The mastering done for those CD is considered to be of inferior quality, which is why Beatles fans have been impatiently waiting for these new remastered CDs.

It's not just the new CD remasters that are exciting Beatles fans, it's also the fact that the original mono mixes of their albums will be released in a mono box set on 9/9/9 too!

These new mono mix CDs will be the first time that many younger Beatles fans get to hear these albums as they were originally intended to be heard because it's the first time that the mono mixes have ever been on CD.

Mono was being phased out way back in the 1960s, so why should we listen to mono mixes in 2009? This is an understandable view but if you think of these mixes as being the originally intended mixes, it's interesting to hear them.

Mono was the standard at the time and because of that The Beatles spent a lot more time on the mono mixes than they did on the stereo mixes. In fact the stereo mixes were thrown together rather hastily in comparison.

'Ahoy, there!' If you are planning to organise a fancy-dress party then 'pirates' would be a really good theme. Just imagine the hilarity of a room full of your friends and family members all dressed up as Long John Silver, Black Bart, Captain Jack Sparrow and the like. The whole scene would be so much fun right from the beginning that you can guarantee that it will go down a storm.

For as long as people have used the oceans as trade routes there have been pirates. The earliest documented instances of piracy date back to the 13th century BC. And for as long as people have had fancy dress costume parties there have been pirates! (Although it is uncertain as to when the first documented instance was...) If you are thinking about going to a fancy dress costume party dressed up as a pirate then you might want to consider what items of clothing are most pirate-like.

Clothing certainly won't be a problem. Pirates wore quite a variety of garments and with a little imagination and minimal outlay you can soon look like a true blue-blooded buccaneer! Think of simple articles like eye patches, bandanas and wide leather belts. A stripey black and white top wouldn't be out of place; maybe it could be worn with some old black jeans.

If you arerunning an 'adult pirates party' then (yo, ho, ho and) a bottle of rum would be a fitting drink for your guests. Perhaps you could make some cocktails as well. You could easily come up with some appropriate names for them such as 'a shot across the bows' or 'shiver me timbers'. You can see how much fun this could all be!

Some 'pirates' games are another possibility. You could soon devise some original ideas or you could adapt some traditional ones so that they have a 'pirates' feel to them... Maybe you could have such attractions as duelling with water pistols or a treasure trail game. I've been looking around online the last couple of days, trying to find how to fix my Xbox 360. I've had my console since launch day two years ago, and it's always worked fine. Then a last week, with no caution, it just died on me. I know lots of folks who have had it happen to them, so it was not a total surprise. But that does not make it any easier to accept.

Obviously my guaranty's expired, so it was no good going to Microsoft to mend my Xbox 360. I learned they'd do it, but it would end up costing me something similar to $140 to get it done. And that does not even include shipping. Anyhow, they told me it would take up to eight weeks to get back to me, and I just did not want to be without it for that long.

So that's why I've been looking around on the web. I'd come across a few sites that claimed to supply techniques to mend Xbox 360s. One of them advised I wrap my console in a towel. I'm almost embarrassed to say I tried it, but I was desperate to get my Xbox up and running again. As you can probably guess, it did not fix my Xbox 360.

Another bunch of sites recommended different positionings for the power adapter, claiming it would permit better air circulation. I followed all their instructions, but nothing they recommended would fix my Xbox 360. Utter disgust and astonishment. That's my feeling towards the Westboro Baptist Church. The web page they proclaim and advocate is nothing more then "hate" propaganda. Their church spreads hate. They tour throughout the U.S. screaming "hate" in Gods name.I don't know about their "god", but my God does not hate and would never tell his "children" to go out and preach for the devil

Now I'm sure there are many more of these radical organizations out there using God as the reason for their actions. The world is full uneducated, ignorant bigots, who will always use hate to hurt others because of their personal beliefs and/or lifestyle choices. These people are out there crusading on a religious campaign and breeding hate in our society. This ideal, that hate can consume a person or a group, has been seen in history on more then a few occasions.

In the end there will always be hate. Not just in America, but across the world. There will always be radical groups proclaiming "gods" name in their message of hate. In America we have rights. We have right to form and state our opinions, even when everyone else might not share our same views. Freedom is what we are entitled to. Just because we disagree and are appauled with these "hate" groups, they will always continue to exist and deliver their messages of damnation. What we can do is take a stand and shout out loud that hate will not not win. We can proclaim that hate will never be acceptable. Stand up and denounce hate, refuse to let hate dictate how we live our lives. We are in America, and we have rights. The right to be free. Free from Hate.

Also make sure they list a contact telephone number should you have any problems.

Offline Guitar Lessons or Courses

What are offline guitar lessons?

Offline lessons or courses are given by a real person who comes to your home to conduct the lesson or in some cases the tutor will come to you. Once you have had your guitar lesson you will pay them a fee for their services. The problem with this is that it can be quite hard to find a good tutor who you gell and get along with and where can you find a tutor in your area who is up to the job?

Another problem with live guitar tutors in my opinion is that most will give you only just enough information to keep you coming back and charge you as much as they can possibly get away with. Not the best scenario.

Here are some disadvantages of going for regular guitar lessons.

* Yet another problem with regular lessons is that that you have to TRAVEL! Or in some circumstances the tutor may come to you. In both cases you have to have your lesson at a predetermined time, meaning (depending on the time of day) your day is shot, everything else has to work around it.

* It is a fact that you will progress quicker if you are learning to place songs and tunes you enjoy. If you tutor is not into the type of music you enjoy then your speed of learning will be reduced.

* If you need an answer to a particular issue in between lessons, what do you do??? You end up waiting for next week to come along to get your questions answered, wasting time. Ideally you need your questions answering NOW, there and then when you are stuck, this allows you to get your questions answered immediately and move on to the next stage...

* Most people when sitting in front of a tutor and playing back what they've learned in the week will feel a little if not quite a bit intimidated or nervous. They will feel under pressure to get it just right in front of their tutor. What happens in most scenarios is the student will make mistakes when at home they have played the piece very well. The best scenario would be to repeat back the lesson in their own home with no pressure in familiar surroundings...

So Where Does That Leave YOU?

Do not fear! There is an alternative to both these methods yet encompasses both.

The only alternative and the best alternative in my opinion is to use a system that encompasses both methods. The Israeli news headlines this year ran a story, that Highway police were called to apprehend a man in a Spiderman costume, who was frightening commuters by throwing ropes at their cars (presumably improvised "web-shooters") and jumping on top of them.

The police arrested our superhero and, while under investigation, told them he had woken up in hospital wearing his Spiderman costume, with no memory of how he came to be dressed in it. Unsurprisingly, psychiatrists were summoned to assess the man's mental health.

Therefore, I would ensure that your new TV is capable of receiving it. Then I recommend that your new home movie theater screen be a flat one in order to reduce the annoying glare that could ruin your experience, which is another reason for choosing a drop-down projection screen.

Then you should ensure that the new television has enough input and output sockets for the equipment you plan to use and youre done. So, to summarize, I would go for:

At least a 27 inch screen

A flat screen

HDTV compliant

Plenty of input and output plugs

Satellite compatibility

I would definitely get a receiver which is already satellite enabled, because it is the future or even the near future. If you get a satellite TV connection you will have access to HDTV downloads which you can watch on your new home movie theater installation whenever you like.

Learning Acoustic Guitar: The Parts of the Guitar and Proper Posture

Some people may think otherwise, but in truth learning to play the guitar is pretty easy. The only thing that you need to do is learn where to start, and the proper place to start is by learning the different parts of a guitar. There aren't that many parts in an acoustic guitar, so we'll go over them fast:

1. The body of the guitar is the big part that you need to worry about. This is where the strings are, and it is the largest part. It has a hole in the center which creates the so und that you hear when you actually play the instrument.

2. Behind the pick hand at the end of the body you will find the bridge. This is the area in which the strings are attached to the guitar before making contact with the hole, and making their way up the neck. On the majority of acoustic guitars, you will find that this bridge is composed of wood.

3. Then there is the neck, which is on the other end of the guitar's body. The neck is on the left, and is long and skinny. The guitar strings go from the bridge all the way to the top of the neck to the tuning keys.

4. In order to make different notes and sounds with your guitar, you need to place your fingers behind the frets. The frets are the golden bars running across the neck, and there are normally twenty four of them.

5. The nut is a rather important part, and it is a divider that is placed in between the neck and head. It is grooved and keeps the headstock from moving during play.

6. Next there is the headstock, which is the topmost section on the neck. This is where the tuning keys are situated.

7. Tuning keys are the metal tabs which you'll see on the headstock itself. This is where the other end of the strings is situated, and you can use the tuning key to change the tone. This is usually referred to as keeping the guitar tuned.

So those are the basic parts of the guitar. After you have learned that you will need to learn to keep good posture while playing, that way your instrument will sound great when you play! Next we will tell you exactly how to accomplish that.

For right handed players: Begin in a sitting position, and raise one of your knees just a little bit. Put the guitar body in such a way that you are holding the neck to the left. Take the neck with your left, and then put the pick in your right. This is a decent posture, and one suitable for playing the guitar. If you need to, you can always use a strap.

If you need to play with your left handed, then just reverse the posture and make sure that you're comfortable. You can sit in any way that you want, so long as you are comfortable and that the guitar sounds right.

Joining a band could be really a challenge for each musician or group of musicians that are planning to have a band. I am currently part of a jazz quartet named "jazzology" and the way I made this band was talking with some friend that often we have been practicing and rehearsing since several months ago.

I personally recommend that the best way you can start joining a band is firstly determining the kind of music you are able to do. If you don't have a clear vision of the type of music you are going to do it will be really difficult join a band.

The second thing you need to start joining a band is looking for people that have passion for the music in the genre you want to make music. I personally think that if you are planning that music is going to be your career, not your hobby, you are going to require a good advisory so that you band can last for a long time.
