So you've decided to buy an iPod Touch 8gb? Smart move. This product has been enjoying rave reviews around the globe. In true Apple technology style, it is once again forcing its competitors to lift their game with a new release that is as stylish as it is functional. By offering serious improvements on earlier models, Apple is ensuring another huge success story worldwide.
What hits you first when you open the box, is the gorgeous styling. Leaving behind their traditional signature line of white plastic products, Apple have introduced a contemporary and smart new design, featuring and slimline, slick body which is all black glass and shiny metal. It looks fabulous. The product also comes with up-to-the-minute earbud headphones, a very good syncing/charging cable and a wee touch-sized dock adapter if you want to connect to iPod speakers.
The iPod touch 8gb is easy to set up, but be aware that there are a number of new virtual buttons and settings to learn and its worth taking the time to do so. You'll need to connect the iPod touch to your computer to get it all set up correctly up. A priority will be to connect it to iTunes and get whatever music and videos you want transferred over.
You definitely need the latest version of iTunes installed. Music can then be downloaded in several ways through iTunes. Don't forget, if you have any photos on your computer, you can bring them into the iPod touch by telling iTunes which photos to synchronize. They'll look gorgeous - you'll love having them so close.
The next most exciting feature is the the video section. Select available videos in the same way you scroll through songs: with your finger. Everything is controlled through a light touch. How's video quality? It surpassed my expectations significantly. It's excellent.
If I had a gripe about the Ipod Touch 8gb, it would only be that here is no memory card slot to add extra gigs of storage. Other than that, I'm completely sold. Its gorgeous, very easy to use, has a huge 3.5" LCD screen and most importantly, the sound quality is simply superb. Anybody lucky enough to get one for Christmas will be purring.
