There are some crazy events in the British version of the film like a cousins husband who is accidentally given a drug that causes hallucinations and a dwarf who no one knows that wants to talk to one of the brothers. Basically the dwarf was their fathers lover and he is looking to profit off of his relationship.
The dwarf gets given the drug as well and when he is hallucinating he starts jumping up and down on the couch and falls off hitting his head on the coffee table. The brothers panic thinking that he is dead and put him in the casket with their dad.
The American version of Death at a Funeral is a bit different as the brother living with the father has children and is envious of the rich brother as they both are writers. Other than that the story line is about the same with the same dramas, highlights and comedy.
